- at the wheels, not flywheel. The work was carried out by Race-Spec in warrington, a company i can whole heartedly reccomend to anyone wanting to take their engine tuning that little bit further. The engine runs extremely well on this configuration with more power at the wheels (112@4000rpm) than my orginall did at full power (109@6600) and a slight raise in torque (112 vs 107 originally). I had the 'new' engine tuned with the same parts .It's quick and really pulls for the redline once tvis kicks in. Not only that but it's been just as reliable - recently after nearly a year left standing all it needed was a 'rotor arm' to be replaced and it's back to business as normal. I've just put some cheap (re. scrapyard scavanged) OZ alloys on it - look nice and give it a bit of extra bite/grip. It also has lightweight bodywork courtesy of arches riddled with holes from rust!..my next project once i find some panels.
