Option for printing off threads?

Post by Grendel »

Is there a way that there could be a print friendly option put up on the treads for example if you’re given tech information it would be easier to print off the topic to take with you to fix problem?

Great idea. There's a guy at work who is tempted on an MR2, so I wanted to give him a printout of the thread about our new insurance scheme (and thus to tempt him to the forum), but the printer lost most of the page info when printed out.
Mk2 NA Rev1 -*- Mk2 Turbo Rev2 -*- Mk1 NA -*- Mk2 Turbo Rev 3 = all gone!

You need to make sure that you printer is set to print landscape so you dont lose the right side of the page info. that may help.

other wise i end up copying and pasting each bit into a word doc

Yes but copying and pasting takes too long 8-[
I know on other forums i use (NOT MR2) that they have a Print This Topic button that makes everything printer friendly. Why cant we have somthing similar on here? [-o<

Just had another look at that mod - from what I can see its possibly not compatible with both the Subforums code we're using and the most recent patches of the phpBB code, so its looking unlikely I'm afraid :-(

Can you not, Ctrl A (select all), then print selection and in the printer preferences scale to fit A4? At work at the moment so can't test the theory! 8-[

Can we just add another stylesheet to re-format the page for printing?
