Hi all

Just thought I ought to formerly introduce myself....

Big Trev or BBN12 - New to this Forum but a Japanese Performance Car Enthusiast for over 12years.
Perhaps one of the slightly older members here ;)

In the early 90's I raced Karts then Cars successfully for six years and instructed and gave high speed passenger laps for one of my Sponsors at their corporate days which was huge fun...

As for my racing exploits, well am proud to say despite being underfunded and larger+heavier than the average person (let alone racing driver!!!) I enjoyed success, the pinnacle probably being breaking the lap record at Brands Hatch in a Caterham.
I was also nominated for the McLaren Autosport Young Driver of the year Award after winning a Championship in my first full year in Motorsport!

Sadly though the ever increasing costs of motorsport and incredible difficulty securing enough sponsorship to progress, I eventually had to retire from competition :(
No longer able to pursue that passion I turned my attention to Modifying my own Japanese performance cars to be great road and track cars ;)

I have owned all sorts over the years including (4yrs ago) a Rev3 MR2 Turbo which I loved but sadly it had to go to make way for a 4 seater car (enter Nissan Skyline).

An active member on the Skyline forum I sold my 'Liner after a year because the running costs were painfully high, it didn't lend itself as well to Track Days as I had hoped and I could see the prices of Skylines tumbling as the market became saturated with them and people realised their running costs! - So I sold mine whilst I could still get good money for it and luckily it sold for what I wanted and within a week!!!! - It was Stunning!

I hankered after the agility and balance of the MR2 I owned before, so no longer having a requirement for 4 seats, I am in the market for another MR2 Turbo Rev3 :)

And I think I may have found the one!!! :D - "Watch This Space!"

This car will be for road use so nothing extreme, just sensible mods to improve response and well set up for British Roads and daily use....

My Track Day thrills will come from a Track Car I have on order (more details to come over the coming weeks on that) ;)

Well if that little lot hasn't put you all to sleep, I'll sign off for now before you do drop off!

I look forward to getting to know you and meeting some of you at Events and of course Track Days where I am happy to help anyone wanting advice on driving technique, racing lines etc....
