I have a feeling that those that are going to Scarborough should maybe plan on eating somewhere on the way after meeting others at Church Mouse for a natter. The reason I say this is that as the numbers increase we are going to have problems getting in at the Church Mouse, especially if we dont pre-book. Remember last time was a bit cramped with the MK2 and MK1 groups. What do the rest think and if in agreement anyone know other good eating houses?
Well I'm all for stopping for a natter and them making our way to Scarbourgh, that way we can stop off on the way and still arrive at a decent time of day, anyway there is nothing better than Fish n chips on the sea front followed by a hot waffle with loads of cream.

Can't do the churchmouse that early. If you let me know what time you intend heading of down the road I'll try and get through before you set off.

checking out the website link I posted above, I think all of the pubs over the moors serve food 12:00 - 14:00 (12 noon til 2pm ) so would need to get to one by 13:45 latest and preferably pre-book, would therefore need to leave Church Mouse by 12:30 latest I think Phil. Mind I am just as happy with fish n chips, just need to know what others are happy with.
Hi Mate, the prob is I'm on 12 hour nights all weekend and don't think I'll be able to get up and over there in time. Might follow the convoy down with you guys and pop in for a spot o lunch then head back home. I give you a bell when I get up to see whereabouts you are. If not we will have to arrange a meet before santa comes

hehehe !!! Whys my life a farse !!
I'm near scarborough on saturday night, just to come back to sleep, then wake up, go to durham, then possibly drive over to scarborough again !!!
Phil... you've got a V6 supercharger havent you ??? The way you drive and the way your car performs, you'll be on the moors having lunch before any of us !!
so would need to get to one by 13:45 latest and preferably pre-book
Tony, you think they'll be pleased with a boatload walking through the door 15 minutes before they shut ???
Once upon a time, I used to work in a restaurant where people would come in at 11.55pm, then order 2 bottles of wine, dessert / coffee !! Okay if you owned the place, terrible if you were some hormone rageing student that wanted to be out !!
Ratburger anyone !!
Point taken JJ. You were actaully a student I thought you were born with all of your talents as a grease monkey, oops I mean mechanical engineer
With that in mind, I guess we should really be sitting down for food by 13:00 if we are going to eat somewhere over the moors or near Scarborough, which would mean leaving Church Mouse around 11:30.
I have just checked with Church Mouse and they dont take reservations.
HOWEVER, the doors open at 11am when you can go in for coffee and could then retain the seats for lunch at 12 noon. So, another option is how about coffee at 11:30 inside pub, order lunch for 12 noon, and away by 1pm. Hit Scarborough around 4pm, after getting pi$$ed/lost on the Moors, for fish and chip supper if required. Is that a good idea or is that a good idea
I thought you were born with all of your talents as a grease monkey
I don't have a job title, just told to do it .. make tea, do a formal presentation, take the engine out, take the bin out, how many men do we need for this £10M job etc etc.
Not all of us had a silver spoon like you tony !!!
I'm easy to whats going on !!
Haven't had a full suspension/geometry check/alignment yet, so I can't really afford to scrub off my tyres with the full afternoon all the way to Scarborough and back (plus my old man is coming with me and needs to be back mid-afternoon)... but fingers crossed for tomorrows MOT, I'll be there at the Church Mouse on sunday.
