Cylinder head gasket failed due to overheating caused by the thermostat fracturing completely!

Crisp hadn't noticed the temperature (as I hadn't at Elvington track day earlier in the year  )

Hi, MR-S Turbo, top day wasn't it?

He may have made it home, I dunno :? . He was going slowly when I overtook him, but was going much better when he passed me when I was in the petrol station! :D

You're not wrong! My 60' times were rubbish! The only reasonable 60' time was achieved after a huge burn out. It worked but how much has it cost me in tyre wear?????

Cheers Tom \:D/ Not sure if i was begging for food in that photo

Really enjoyed today, I'm glad i gave in to Steve's nagging now :)

Was nice to meet up with you near the end of the day (It's good having IMOC splattered all over your car) Thought we was gonna attack the strip together near the end but that bloody saxo wouldn't move over  Hope you get your NOS sorted for the next one dude :D

Recognised a few motors and also saw Xxxx, Andy F (Was that Mitsu GTO the same one at the John Nobles RR day?) Brook (VERY clean motor & love the guages) but didn't get time to speak to most as i was too busy bouncing myself of porter cabins in frustration

MR-S Turbo - Didn't get chance to speak either but STUNNING motor =D>

Managed to pass on the IMOC website to couple of non clubmember 2 owners so will have to see if they join up

=D> =D> =D> To the owner of the Black Tubby JETxxxF - Is it an IMOC owner cause i'm sure i've seen pics on here before :?

The track at the end of the day was just starting to give a little grip. I am at York Dragstrip for most of the events and it is one of the more slippery strips there is. If you goto Pod, you either fry your clutch or knock at least 0.5 seconds off your time.

110% agree, Dan (Hedgehog Dodger) started a poll on this late last/early this year to see how many would be interested - That would be one helluva meet!

Who has the contacts? We wanna see the IMOC DRAG SHOOTOUT 2006 in the calander \:D/

[nomination time]nominating icsun, er, icsonem,er, i-can't-see-a-nova (Tom is easier) for organising stuff![/nomination time]

OT, but what does icsunonove actually mean? forgot to ask yesterday!

"i-can't-see-a-nova", that's flipping brilliant! :D :D

Ok, in phonetics it's: Ics - uno - novay. It's italian and means (piece by piece) Ics = X, Uno = 1, Nove = 9 ie X1/9 as in Fiat X1/9. I've had three, my Mk1 Supercharger was bought to replace my Twin Cam conversion X1/9 which got rusty and I had it squashed! :D

ahhhhh, makes sence now! X1/9's, used to have a real soft spot for them, nearly bought one instead of the capri!!
