Tony, got your number thanks, will try and make it. That's dependent on weather being ok and car being in one piece!

Oh yes, depends on if I can get to Wizards as well and get my NOS bottle refilled!

Better get moving then.....

No T, haven't got a ticket and it's a long way. York is much closer and hopefully as Lee and Tony say it won't be too busy.

But my car's in bits yet again and the weather might be rubbish, so I'll decide early Sunday.

I've simply got to get rid of my one and only 1/4 mile time of 15.8s! :clown:

(mind you I've heard Dale's quite good at making false timeslips, so I may just pay him to do me one!)

Here's an example of his excellent work:

I was just about to post and say things aren't going too well with putting my car back together again, can you bring another bottle I could borrow and hey presto, you already are!

Right, really going to make an effort to come now, just next to check weather.....

Edit: Tony I'm running a Mk1 SC (hopefully with a large pulley if my parts supplier can pull their finger out this afternoon) and +25hp NOS (Jetting 20 for fuel 50 for NOS). Do I need to retard my timing, if so what to? (I'll bring my timing light in any case)
Dare I risk running +50hp? (Have you got any jets i could buy / borrow to try?) I think this should be worth around 80hp on the 4AGZE. Dare I risk it or is it likely to go BOOOOOOOM? :clown:

Right, car's back in 1 piece, weather looks ok, so I'm off to York to have a jolly good go at blowing my engine to pieces  (again )

Any latecomers wishing to meet up, here's my number: (Edit, number now deleted)

(Steve / Dale, can you both do me a quote to make me a time slip. :clown: It's got to be believable so I dunno, 13.91s! And I don't want any old rubbish, it's got to be as good a quality as your previous effort  )

Well what a top day that was! \:D/

Great to meet you all: Mong (Tony) and his great big entourage from Middlesbrough and Sunderland (really friendly bunch) , Enrico (Brook), Crisp and about 10 of his mates, Andy Jones, Steve Horrocks and their great big crew and MRSTurbo. (Sorry if I've forgotten to mention any of you! )

Xxxx was also there but I didn't get to meet him. There was another guy there with a black Mk2 turbo. Someone said he was from Leeds. He had the fastest MR2 time there, about 11.5s I think (Xxxx was doing 11.7s IIRC). Anyone know who he is? Is he an IMOC member? Is he on the TOTB 2006 team?

I was running a big supercharger pulley for the first time (fitted it Friday). My bloody engine wouldn’t run properly on NOS and started spluttering and complaining, so I switched it off and didn’t run it, never mind! (I’ll get it sorted soon and then post a proper time! )

It was really slippery off the line and everyone was having difficulty  . I ended up with a best of 14.533s, which I was reasonably happy with :D , at least it means I can replace my one and only run at Santa Pod of 15.8s (when I missed 3rd gear! :clown: )

But mine was only the 2nd fastest Mk1. Tony (Mong) managed a 14.252s with his NOS powered 126,000 mile normally aspirated engined Mk1! =D> =D> =D>

Unfortunately Crisp had his thermostat fracture and the engine got really hot and the cylinder head gasket failed. :( I only met him when I saw him stopped on the road on the way home. I stopped and lent tools and he got underway again. (Hope you managed to make it home mate!)

A top day all round, really must organize a great big event at York next year!

Didn’t take many pics  here’s four:

MR2 to the rescue! I stopped and lent tools to Crisp….

PS Well done Andy for getting into the 13s on your final run! =D>

woo hoo! saw the mk2 stopped on way home (now know to be Crisp) but didn't stop as there was already a fair old car park starting on side of country road & 3 other cars aint gonna help matters really! plus didn't have any tools on board so would be no use.
Hope everything was ok, what was the matter by the way?
Good to meet you Tom.
Had a quick word with Xxxx, asked if he'd run a 10 or not yet & why he still had Titanium stickers on car........... they're getting removed! hehe!
Ah well, good day was had & jealous i had no runs (not botherin with the Jag!)

You're not wrong Steve! :D It looked a bit like the M25 at rush hour! But I stopped just in case they needed tools and they did! :D So I'm a good Samaritan!

Overtook Crisp at ***mph when I got fed up with following him. I stopped at the garage to fill up with fuel and heard him blast past at a fair rate of knots! So I really hope he managed to limp home!

Great to meet you to, we really (or someone) needs to get this as a big MR2 event!
