Essex RR Day II - the running order

Post by CosmosblueMR2 »

Slight amendment to last time around.. (maily cos I'm lazy and this time don't want to be running around after you lot getting you in order  .....besides i felt like an idiot shouting after people  )

So please read carefully - some instructions for you to take on board

1) On the morning I will have adhesive signs numbered 1 to 30
2) these are to be attached to your car to the rear quarter window (drivers side !)
3) when viewing the cars on the RR you will then notice the number car currently going on and so knowing you are next can get your car lined up ready to go on next.

IMPORTANT :
please make sure you are ready - the RR people do not want to be hanging around - so make sure you are ready to go on IMMEDIATELY after the previous number to yours rolls off.

see you Sunday the 16th ! - and remember there is a convoy planned !!
(see other thread in Events section - link>>
http://www.imoc.co.uk/forums/viewtopic.php?t=19986 \:D/ )

cheers
Frank.

peeps with CCs can go first, there always cold, id rather wait to get rid of heat soak on mine, so leave it later on in the day.

as Organisor I'm deciding
running order will basically just be determined by whatever number you get from me on the day - however there are a couple of cars I want to see go head to head or rather "back to back" - you know the cuplrits

If you want to turn up later rather than the 9:30am start I would suggest you arrive NO LATER THAN 10:30am

Please read the CONVOY thread for news of Police in the area that weekend

cheers
Frank.

no probs Jim - it was more a reply to ALL - especially about turning up no later than 10:30am

People from the original 30 will get to run first- if they don't turn up then the people in the reserves can go on.

remember a max of 30 runners on the day - hope everyone understands this =;

well there are 10 reserves i think... they are all aware that if ALL the original list turn up then they won't get on.. but as I've discussed before - people always seem to pull out at the last minute for all manner of reasons - hence why a reserve list this time

I'm not giving away any suprises  - it will be a good day - i can feel

Im looking fwd to this!! Collecting my car tomorrow from 3S!! Since my last RR (262bhp 274lb torque) ive had a CT20b, downpipe, charge cooler and my timing advanced to 12degrees. I wonder how much power ive got now :-s .
Frank - Are you handing the numbers out when you get to the RR or on the way? Im planning on meeting you guys in Witham but would also like to run my car fairly early in the running order. Im thinking about getting there a little early to let my engine cool a little too!

I think me and Luke (Skywalker) and possable N (ENSMR2) may be running in a convoy from Hertford if anyone else is interested.

pretty pants really. @ 1.2bar I have 225 RWHP and 220 ft/lbs of torque

had enough of it now for a while - ok I guess it MUST be safer power but it's SO annoying having such crap figs.

my plan is maybe Motec and a new turbo next year - got some contacts

Thats not too bad. My car had 262bhp at the flywheel not wheels. My car was only 208bhp RWHP. I pefer stating the fly power though 8) What was your power at the fly with your new setup?

oh right ! #-o at the fly was about 282
Maybe my torque is down so much as I have the boost over the stock .9 and the uprated Walbro Fuel Pump, so maybe it's just flooding the damn thing and bogging down torque wise..

I NEED A STANDALONE and a good old mapping session ! (and while I'm at it a new Turbo - so mine will be up for sale

I maybe making this up but didn;t i hear that rev 2's are more Torque'y than later revs ?... might explain it a bit :-k

aren;t they a different compression ? - would that affect Torque ?

I'm really hoping to get a go, I'm top of the reserves ;-) Well, ahem, but it would be nice to stick my NA on there with the bits and bobs I've done to it.

It's a pity though that Chris seems not to have been able to source the CF Bonnet in time for this event for the wow factor. Nor have my Tein HA's come back yet :(

*CRY*

Anyway....

See you in convoy there!
