saw this ad on ebay for a beam version of sw20, it talks about the 0-60mph of beam engine mr2 being faster than a turbo??? is this true?? what is the 0-60mph of a beam engine mr2 ?? I heard that are are compriable on the track but are slower on a 0-60mph dash.

No, it's not. The BEAMS VVTi equipped car would be around one to one and a half seconds slower to sixty than the same model year turbo.

IIRC the official figure is 6.7 seconds. A lot of people talk about cars being slower or quicker around a circuit (witness the age old mk1 versus mk2 debate) but you'll never really know until they come up against each other.

I think my car has been tuned by Ferrari, I found a Ferrari cap under my drivers seat. This can be the only explanation.

i really hate it when peeps lie about things like this.
the buyer then becomes a member of a club like this saying, a beams is quicker than a tubby, then all hell breaks loose, and then realise theyve been had.
just like 300bhp claims on ebay on rev1/2s with exhaust, filter and dump valve, lol!

The advert rings a bell, can't BA searching for it though As long as it is a good, straight example it's still a cracking car. Obviously the "I think it's been tuned by TRD" and "faster 0-60 that a tubby" is nonsense, but don't let that put you off
