Anyone know how to refresh / refurb the door / window mouldings?
I don't fancy shelling out near £300 for some new ones.

weather strip. Managed to get some for £80 each last year from TCBParts.co.uk.
Can't see them on the website at the moment but always worth giving them a call.

Ouch, it's a better price but still bloody expensive.
I've got some black trim wax from Halfords so gonna try a glee layers of that first. May even try and spray paint them (not rubber obvs)

Including the rubber window seal?
Can you remember the type of paint you used?

The rubber seal can be made a lot better with something like halfords rubber rejuvenator.

It was just a generic autotek satin black, I don't think I even primed it, just cleaned it off with brake cleaner, scuffed it with a scotch pad, cleaned again, masked and then did 2 or so coats. No I masked off the rubber portion of it and then applied something similar to rubber rejuvenator, can't remember what I used at the time, need to use it again though!

You can also get plastic adhesion promoter that acts like a primer but is clear.
I did mine last year with the adhesion promoter followed by solvent based black followed by 2K clear.
I masked off the rubber also and I was very pleased with the result. I will add that I have also done all the rub strips and around the 1/4 windows, along with the a pillars trim and t bar gutter strip.
On my Svx the weather strip look like the op so I am planning to mask around and scuff and spray with adhesion promoter followed by satin black

Can vouch for this C4 excellent stuff

I've used the Gtechniq to do mine in the past. They were improved but are still grey and faded looking in patches - masking and spraying doesn't sound like a bad idea
