Well its only been 3 months since I sold mine and its gone from this:
to this wonderful ebay listing!
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/toyota-mr2-re ... Sw67lZrS0C
what makes it worse (besides the obvious molestation is the fact the seller is now hiding the overheating issues, which I was very open and transparent about)
His reply back to me when I mentioned I've seen the car for sale a few months ago and whether he fixed the overheating issues was "I dont know what your on about, theres no overheating" - little did he know he was talking to me!
Anyway I'm sure the price and body kit alone is enough to put any one from here off this purchase. But I thought I would flag that the seller is not be honest (especially as he is asking for 3k more, not fixed the overheating which is likely a knackered water pump e and talked down the gearbox issues)
Grr dishonest sellers really wind me up! even more so when its your old car.
Rant over...

you still have an open Woolworths?
Re: L355CTY - Ever regretted selling a car?
Bet the overheating on boost is caused by a cracked block.

to be honest the overheating only ever took place on idle, and went away if the car was revved. I thought it was probably the water pump as whilst I was moving and boosting the car was happy. lots of traffic was another story.

Just after I sold my beloved first white SW, it was crashed. Major heart ache!
Re: L355CTY - Ever regretted selling a car?

I had the same thing when i sold my yellow rev2 tubby.
The bloke scuffed the front bumper and added £1000 to the price.
He even used the pictures i took to sell it !

It's a damn shame as I'm looking for a white or yellow MR2 at the minute. Came across this one, quick google of the reg plate.... and here we are!
Re: L355CTY - Ever regretted selling a car?
Glad the thread served its purpose! Just wanted to highlight the dishonesty of the current seller.
Re: L355CTY - Ever regretted selling a car?
Would you mind telling us how much you sold it to him for? No worries if not

sure thing not a problem, I've never seen the logic behind hiding a price - at the end of the day it helps us all realistically value our cars. Not the silly prices people stick them up for!
I put it up for £3250, and took £2700 for it. Bare in mind it had overheating issues, a dodgy handbrake and crunching gearbox.
Re: L355CTY - Ever regretted selling a car?
Daaaamn, that's quite the markup.

Snap! Just found your supra for sale on mkivsupra.net good luck with it!
I went the other way round! Currently got a jspec TT auto fully bpu'd
Re: L355CTY - Ever regretted selling a car?
Haha, it's a lovely car but I've always missed my MR2 since I did the swap - not to mention missed having disposable income... the Supra certainly eats all of that!
Re: L355CTY - Ever regretted selling a car?
Hey auzzam, this is NOT my advert but i spotted it for sale again. Didn't mention the over heating at all.

Hey bud,
I noticed his old seller account had been suspended, so is probably trying his luck with a new one!
Hopefully people check before hand, would hate them to be sold something unjustly.
