Your MR2 is lovely Dale
Re: An old Toyota & a couple of barges
You did a video with DannyDC2 didn't you?
Lovely car.
Curious on this one, what was the reason for using a Rev5 NA (assuming 3SGE from MR2?) block for your build?

Re: An old Toyota & a couple of barges
Fair enough, didn't know the NA blocks from an MR2 also had that trait like the later 5SFE's.
Perhaps I should keep hold of my block then when I convert it!

Re: An old Toyota & a couple of barges
Id always use the rev5 block. I've cracked a rev2 NA block around the water pump before. every extra strength is a big plus.
Ive added a few photos

Re: An old Toyota & a couple of barges
I have no plans to go above stock fuelling / ECU / Turbo + boost controller at the moment so hopefully the stock Rev3 turbo block should last, but it might be worth keeping hold of my Rev5 one in that case just in case I want to do a build in the future
Re: An old Toyota & a couple of barges
One of the best looking stock MR2s out there.
Also had the benefit of being chauffeured in it to Barnsley magistrates court for speeding in 2005.

Re: An old Toyota & a couple of barges
Gazza_DJ defo keep that block! you do have to get a bit groovy with the oil cooler set up afterwards, but its all good
I think we went faster getting you to court, than you did for the speeding offence!
lesson learned? nahhhhhhh

5L of fuchs 10w50 ordered from opies, im tempted to tax it from march rather than april with the odd spells of decent weather we've had recently It feels like agggges since I last drove it!
Re: An old Toyota & a couple of barges
Love the car bud, that colour is stunning, especially with the "Advan" centre's
matching ! , and the 4.6 Lexus !! , my god its like a Rolls inside.
I fully intend to have a VIP build using one of those one day !

haha cheers
I remember the grief the Advans used to get back in the 2004/2005 era... how times have changed
The LS460 is pure luxury... its a bit delicate and tempremental though compared to the Lexus of old
Re: An old Toyota & a couple of barges
The grief they got is a good thing, that's why I managed to pick up my 16's for £180 with tyres and my 17's for ~£300 with tyres
Re: An old Toyota & a couple of barges
haha you have a point! I think they suit the Mr2 perfectly. I'll never change them
Re: An old Toyota & a couple of barges
Stunning car ! ! Can you recall the size of the of Inlet / outlet on your charge cooler core ? It looks like a perfect replacement of a ST205.

Im pretty certain it was 3" for both inlet and outlet, the celica throttle body sock was stretched on with the aid of hot water, very tight fit.
It is like a st205 cc..... on steroids

Re: An old Toyota & a couple of barges
Yeah where did you get that CC? Seems like a nice upgrade from the 205 one imo!
Also wasn't your car on dannydc2's channel? Looks

Yeah that's the one, that was when it was running apx 400bhp
I got the charge cooler from the usa while on holiday.. As well as an aem water meth kit, pfc datalogit, pfc oled hand commander, boost/ water gauges, apexi throttle controller and a few sets of brake pads that was when the £-$ was decent
