Cheers buddy, not long now.

So, when I'm next at sbits, I'll be getting the boot lid, spoiler and blueflame exhaust fitted along with getting my warranty job carbon fibre hydro-dipped T bar panels back.

Likewise with you and the Evo mate. Name is on the list. All being well, there should be a few of us convoying it down. :thumleft:

Be good to see you mate, been ages!

Thanks for the comments pal. I only need a rev 3 front lip, then I'll have a full inventory of stock panels to revert the car to being totally standard, so who knows!!

Maybe see you at Japfest in your beast! :D

Update from Deepcar Autobodies. The spoiler and boot lid are now painted and in the process of being polished.

Spoiler being polished:

Just waiting on one Rev 3 spoiler gasket now, that for some reason was not sent with the other one due to a bit of a f**k up at Toyota.

More to come....

Cheers mate.

Agreed, I've never once been disappointed with their paintwork.

Highly recommended. :thumleft:

Latest update. The Rev 3 spoiler gaskets from Toyota are holding up the spoiler being fitted to the boot lid. They should arrive within the next week.

On a different note, I noticed that the tinted borders on my rear lights had faded (the light clusters are over 20 years old!):

So I decided to refurbish the light clusters.

Firstly, I bought a can of rear light tint spray by Hycote:

With the rear lights removed from the car, I masked up the lenses and side triangles:

Image

Not the easiest of tasks!

Next up, I cleaned the surrounds with white spirit and allowed to dry. 2 coats of the smoke tint were then applied:

Side triangles have been given the same treatment, just no pics of those.

The tint was then left to harden for 24 hours. Once the masking tape had been removed, the lights were polished with Autoglym super resin polish and the plastic surrounds restored to shiny black with Autoglym vinyl and rubber care:

Happy enough with the results.

I've also noticed that the guttering on my T tops are faded also, so I've bought some Hycote primer and satin black to restore those.

And that's it for now.

Cheers lads :thumleft:

makes such a difference for minimal outlay. My rear lights refurb cost me a tenner, and so has the primer and satin paint for my T tops.

Primer and paint arrived this morning, so will get the roof gutter trims painted over the weekend if time permits.

I have a spare pair of T tops which I can fit while I'm painting the others, to keep spiders out of the car while it's sat in the garage
