Looks good! I hope your boot lid spring is strong - mine won't hold its self open with the wing on it!

Cheers Rob. My boot spring doesn't hold up the boot lid all the way with the stock rev 3 spoiler fitted!

I have a telescopic prop I keep in the boot anyway so a weak boot spring is no issue. :thumleft:

Latest purchase, a perfect, almost new condition Blueflame exhaust system. These are the same as the Mongoose system, but with different tailpipe design:

The Japspeed was always a temporary measure until I sourced a decent twin exit exhaust. Just need to buy some new gaskets now, and I'll get the Blueflame exhaust fitted. :thumleft:

Nice choice! I think they look and sound much better. Will fit in with your new old look.

The only thing that's stopped me putting mine on is the last minute 2.5" step - are you tempted to get that cut and a 3" replacement put in?

Cheers mate.

Pretty happy with it. It's almost new, but it'll still be getting the polish treatment before I fit it. 8)

Regarding the step, it doesn't bother me. It was how it was designed, and I've no plans to change it. Going to get the gaskets ordered tonight, polish the exhaust and fit it to the car. Done. :thumleft:

Any plans to fit your Mongoose? If memory serves, Trickster on here was running over 550bhp with a Mongoose exhaust.

Yeah I think I will mate, just want to get that 3" step out. I know it's only minor but it'll bug me

I've got another jaspeed coming this week so could always use the flexi section on the current japspeed to make that last part....undecided yet. But I think it's much nicer and sleeker :thumleft:

You starting Andy's museum of MR2 exhausts?

Fair enough mate, it would look nicer without the step.

In addition, I'm glad to see you've got your chin up, after all the goings on with your car! I know exactly how it feels when it seems everything is against you!!

Gaskets ordered, hopefully fitting exhaust this weekend. \:D/

Pray to god of Bomex. I hope your speed over the rival.

It is a good wing.

Yeah it is nice wing. Should fit in well with the border kit and Aeroware front lip. Just looking forward to getting it painted and fitted now. :bounce:

Right, just to update the thread......

I'm still waiting on the Bomex spoiler which is in progress, and is currently with Sbits/Deepcar Autobodies.

And lastly, waiting on my exhaust gaskets to get the Blueflame exhaust fitted.

Looks good!

Are you running hoses to cool the brakes? Noticed you have trumpets where the fogs used to be.

Cheers :thumleft:

The ducts could be used to cool the front brakes, but they are currently purely superficial.

I removed the front fog lights, and wanted something to replace them so it didn't look like I'd simply removed the fog lights and left it.

Fog lights removed, and all associated fittings removed, fog light bumper holes meshed with inset satin black aluminium rings.

Little update on the Bomex spoiler. As my aerial hole on the car is smoothed over (I have a DAB aerial in the windscreen), the aerial hole on the spoiler is being filled in.

The hole was first filled with expanding foam. A layer of fibreglass was then applied over the top of it, then another 3 layers and a layer of tissue.

Import boot lid is with Deepcar Autobodies as previously mentioned. Further updates to come. Looking forward to getting it on the car! :D

Wow, that's some effort! Thanks for taking the time to read the thread, appreciated!

When the car was first rebuilt, I had an oem rev 5 spoiler fitted and I wasn't keen on it. Thought it was a bit tame with the Border kit. I then replaced it with a TRD spoiler, which I liked, but the quality wasn't great so I sold it.

The Bomex drift wing is a marmite spoiler. I personally think it looks great, and should fit in nicely with the kit, but appreciate that others aren't keen on it.

Regarding changing stuff, I have a tendancy to get bored with the car so change things around. I've calmed that down a bit lately!

Thanks again for reading the thread, comments appreciated. :thumleft:
