Indoor Car Cover any suggestions?

Post by Philbar »

I am in the process of putting my MR away for the winter, can anyone recommend a good indoor cover? i dont want to spend a fortune say 30 or 40 quid max, so nothing too fancy just soft so wont scratch paintwork? and any contact details be great...

thanks

Indoor, so all you need is an old bedsheet to keep the dust off. Leave the windows open a bit too to let air circulate through the car.

Bedsheets aren't usually big enough on their own so unless you're handy with a sewing machine you'll have work to do. A double duvet ripped open lengthways works, but the best thing I've discovered is from Ikea, you can buy unbleached cotton sheeting from there by the yard for pence. No dyes or anything to upset your paintwork, and you can buy a single piece big enough to cover the car. Mine now lives under one of them even during the summer. It keeps the dust off between polishes.
