trouble with central locking

Post by hjscmh »

Hi all,

Yesterday I began having some trouble with my central locking. My drivers door now only locks and unlocks the drivers side. However I can lock and unlock both doors from the passenger side.

Anyone had the same problem? Any idea where to start?

thanks :D

Switch on the back of the drivers door lock not working is first guess or broken corroded wires in door/ door shut area.

Agree the wires tend to corrode.

Good way to get around is to get an alarm installer to look at it for you, they can bypass the problem. I had the same on another 2.

Had a rev2 that did this, was the switch on the back of the key barrel. Got a 2nd hand one for a few quid and sorted.
