[Mk2] [NA] Radiator Sizing

Hi all,

So, after discovering for definite on Saturday whilst leaving the Concours D'Ordinaire that there is indeed a hole in the radiator, it's time to buy a replacement.

The question I have is, do I need a 572mm core or 672mm core one? Or is either fine?

I have found a guy selling one that is the 672mm core for a good price - he has been advised that it should fit imports but to check first. Car is a 1991 G-Limited Auto.

Can someone confirm before I commit the funds?

The bigger radiator fits an all Mk2's, but I don't know if you need anything else (different brackets maybe?) to fit one to a car that came with the smaller one from the factory.

I fitted the larger one to a rev 1 but i had to remove a plastic shield at either side to allow it to fit. Hoses fitted fine.
I also had to mod the fan mountings as they didn't line up correctly.

The other thing to note is does the auto have a trans oil cooler attached to the rad? A lot of autos do but never looked at an auto mr2

Well, did some digging and all should be Ok from what I can tell.

Ordered yesterday, arrived today.

So attempting fitting this weekend...
