I've owned this car for 2 1/2 years now it's covered 75000 miles only.
Ive had so much fun from it but I'm busy with major house renovations and it needs to go I'm planning to get a mk3 next then I'll have owned all the marks. Just got a years mot on it so it's ready for the summer.
I'll be keeping my reg plate so this will be changed

---------------------------------------I've only driven it back from his house to my mechanics where it has sat since, as he's been too busy. I was looking forward to having a quick summer car, but I've got the option to go travelling with a friend and seeing as the work that needs doing hasn't been done I'm thinking of selling it as it is.

@ a cost of £220 Hopefully some of the parts wont need fitting, after I put down a deposit, Pete very honestly told me that the car overheated on him when he took it to a show the day after.
I ordered a new coolant temp sensor and other bits & bobs I thought it may be. I did a head gasket / cylinder leakage sniffer tester when I went to view it 1st time, and it was fine. (I also checked it the 2nd time, and it was fine then too). It seemed it was a bad fitting coolant temp sensor that caused the problem. When I drove it home I pulled over half way, let it cool down and checked the coolant, it hadn't used any. If this doesn't sell for what it owes me
£2995 then I'll keep it and get the work done, whenever my mechanic can do it for me. The original
"M" registration plate is now back with the car. Only one of the Spal fans works at the moment, not had chance to look into why.
