Front windscreen trim

Does the outer trim clip off, with the screen in situ?

If you remove the rubber trim\seal it may be hard to get it to fit back perfectly and allow moisture in, a new one from Toyota is around £60.

Hmmm. If you can still get them and they are just pushed into the chanel after the screen is bonded in, I reckon I will try and remove it.

Thanks, mate.

I had a windscreen replaced just over a year ago.

Since then the rubber trim popped out one day up the driver side.
I pushed it back in but it wouldnt stay in so I taped over it to stop the airflow lifting it out around 40mph.
Now the trim is glued in on that side at least.

That was a brand new rubber trim... but I dont think the windscreen company fitted it properly.

If it is not fitted properly you will get more wind noise even if the glass is bonded in properly.

Typical. Some things never fit right, afterwards.

Having done a bit of Googling, at least they are still available.
As suggested above. :)
