Recommend me someone to set up my suspension please...

Post by ashley »

...ideally somewhere in the vicinity of Gloucester, but happy to travel for good service. Need my coilovers set up properly (corner weighted), and a full geo suitable for a fast road car.

Who do you recommend?

DC Autos in Frogmore are good. Most accurate alignment I've had done before.

Yeah- they were top of the list, but as said- they don't do corner weighting :(

I always use www.coriniummotorsport.co.uk for setting up my mk3. I think he did my mk2 once as well. He (Neil) is a motorsport engineer by trade and has done set ups on everything from Radicals and Elise's to E36's. He is based just outside Cirencester so not far from you.

If you do call him tell him I mentioned his services, his prices are reasonable as well.

For servicing I use http://www.castleeatonvehicleservices.co.uk based just off the A419 between Swindon and Cirencester. Jon is an ex Toyota mechanic and knows the mk2's and mk3's inside and out (he looks after my mk2 race car). He posts on here occassionally as well.

Hope that helps.

Definitely try and use a motor sport company to set it up, ideally who have done mr2's before! I know everybody will have a preferred setup but i love mine and it's great at the limit, i can pm you my set up if you want to have a nosy.

Be interesting to see what yours comes out corner weighting wise as well, my current rev5 weighed more than my rev3 tin top especially at he front end!
