Good wheels with good offsets and a subtle drop is all you need. :thumleft:

Bodykits for the Mk2 can tend to make them look heavy and slab sided. All in my opinion of course

I think the colour of the car is very important as to whether it can carry off a standard or bodykit. Silver looks good in standard form.

My bodykit doesn't look bad in other colours but looks purposeful in black biased aside  especially at dusk or in a well lit car park

Don't wanna turn this into a picture whoring thread so if interested you can check my past threads

If I had a white car i'd be going for a toms kit so fast, on a black car I dont think it would work. Same goes for your DoLuck kit, looks great on dark coloured cars but would look pretty naff on a white or blue car.

I felt that a std black 2 looks pretty boring even with a nice set of wheels and slightly lower. If I had a caribbean/azure blue car I wouldve left it std bodywise.

sometimes i like kits, other times not.

too much hassle for me to go down the route of kits again, so prefer to PERSONALLY have a stock body with minor tweaks, but love looking at kitted 2's (that have good fitment), infact id love both if i could.

stock look goes down well with mr2 owners, but at a show, it is almost invisible!

Jim, your car is definitely up there with the best looking stock motors! 8)

Sometimes I look at my car and think it looks great with the bodykit fitted, other times, I look at it and wish it was stock.

My problem is I'm so bloody indecisive!

I'm worried that if I remove the kit and return it to stock, I'll want to kit it back up again.

Tempted just to leave it as it is and get some enjoyment out of it!

The best thing about stock, is that it all fits perfect, and no rippled fibreglass panels etc....

yeh the rippled bodywork and poor fitting is what gets me. sometimes even the odd mismatch of paint.

sorting this takes time and money. hassle i could do without.

until i win some big money and just buy/import over a do-luck kit!
(never will happen :( ).

I'm doing great ta. I have it cosmetically perfect now, just need to get about 300hp and I'll be happy. Don't want the hassle of another forgie again to be honest. I miss the screamer pipe sometimes

It was quick enough when I had it at 420, can't imagine what it's like now!!

Nah you're ok, I like my white cars these days :oldtongue: You thinking of selling up? Any idea what you'd like for it?
