Thanks to all for supporting this meet, should be a great turnout, lets hope for sun [-o< Seems there is enough interest to continue this meet and perhaps add some more flavour, with each occassion i was considering a 20/30 minute drive to a local landmark for quality picture taking and the occassional greasy burger, is there any support for this ?

Are there many picturesque places around Guildford?

Would be worth having a few palces in mind so we can sort out directions.

A good landmark is Newlands corner, its a bicker type stop with outsanding views covering 30 miles on a good day, its used as a run stop to and from Box hill. therer is a good food place there too!
Pictures from there can be stunning. 5 minutes from meeting point.

Then there is:

Wisley gardens 5 minutes
Viginia waters 20 minutes
Hampton court 30 minutes
Windsor castle 25 minutes

etc etce etc, sound any good chaps

I also noticed you have a slight error in your first post "concrete location" it say M3 but it should be A3. Maybe you could edit it to avoid confusion.

Ok well i would like to propose a trip up to newlands corner this sunday coming, its not far from the meeting point, so perhaps 30-45 minutes chit chat, getting to know, lardy dar, and hows your father then hop in for a spin to newlands corner for a nice group pic if we fancy a nice spin after that, there is a great scenic drive down to Boxhill. where the croydon bunch can end there trek, and the rest skidadle however they please, the alternative is we stay at guildford and chit chat untill the crowds wears thin.

i like the sound of the trip up to newlands, only thing is it can get quite busy up there, depends on the weather I guess!


Only thing I will say is be careful (if you dont know the area)going through Merrow, the gatso there actually works!I know 5 people with fines from that camera alone!!
