Winding electric windows manually

Post by CalMac »

I'm breaking my MR2 and have removed the doors. Need to put the glass down inside the door for transit really but obviously I've got no way of putting power to the motors now (unless I could just connect a few wires to a spare battery..? Obviously +ve and ground but I don't know what else would need to be connected or if it's even safe to go about doing it like this without fuses etc.). Is there a method of manually winding the regulator to drop the glass down inside the doors?

Just connect a battery to the motor, you can do this at the white(?) plastic plug that goes to it. Reverse the polarity to change the direction it goes!
