Possible to replace the condensor without removing the nose?

Post by Dame »

As the title says, I've just received a new condenser from Japan and before I try undertaking a potentially hopeless mission, I was wondering if it's possible to replace the condenser without removing the front nose?

My car is a Rev2 Turbo so it has the thicker radiator - it looks like it might go, I managed to do the radiator but that was without the condenser being present. Removing the old one was quite easy since it literally fell to dust!

Has anyone done this before or is it a nose off job. Also if it is possible, can it go in through the top or do I have to go from the bottom...?

Cheers,

Damien

I did it on a rev 1 turbo and didn't have to remove the front bumper, can't remember how I removed it (14 years ago) but when I have changed a radiator it has always been from underneath, once you get stuck in you will figure it out pretty quickly :thumleft:

Cool mate, thanks. I'm pretty familiar with the car (18 years of ownership) so it will become very clear I'm sure. I've always done rads through the top but that might be due to a lack of condenser.
