Hi Matt i also purchased my Rev 5 Tubby import in 2003 and it did sport some Work wheels and since have bought Work vs xx 17" 8" + 9" et35 which is the limit for flush fitting, camber bolt kit would be good for my rears but always i shy away from fitting at the thought of arch rolling regards splitting the paint not least because i had a full respray £3,000+. Archenemy seem to be good for some and not others.
Good Hunting...

You say T1R's are pants?

In the wet they are. Pretty good dry grip though.

I will need to replace mine soon, and I'm told the only option if I want all 4 the same and I do are T1Rs..
Plenty of options for fronts apparently it's the rear size which is a pain to get.

Cheers will get some prices
Re: Replacing stock REV5 wheels with new - what suits beige/champagne?
Great discussions guys thanks, I'm just taking my time and seeing what's out there, regarding 17s ruining the handling, perhaps this may be the case, but I'll take the looks option this time and go with the bigger rims

Mine is on 17s, and the handling is spot on. It definitely doesn't ruin it the handling.

If your not going to track the car 17s will be fine.
Get some pictures up when you get them fitted! Black / dark wheels would suit your motor imo

Wheels obtained!
8j +32 - 215/40/17 front
9j +38 - 245/40/17 rear
Looking at dropping the height with tein springs when the wheels get fitted, what does everyone think, likely to rub?

Thanks for the tip, been reading up and they sound a nightmare!
I'll look at the 30mm springs, and others
Re: Replacing stock REV5 wheels with new - what suits beige/champagne?
I've Apex on mine. -30mm, recommended. Tein's are reported as being rather hard.
Re: Replacing stock REV5 wheels with new - what suits beige/champagne?
Know a few people using Spax springs, they seem to rate them.
Re: Replacing stock REV5 wheels with new - what suits beige/champagne?
Thanks, this is on stock suspension, I'm worried about it looking like a tractor if I don't lower it
30mm like the Apex I'm worried is "not low enough"
Teins sound like a crashy nightmare
40mm (such as spax) sounds like it might be too much for stock suspension!
Input definitely appreciated, I'm getting new droplinks all round too.

Re: Replacing stock REV5 wheels with new - what suits beige/champagne?
I wouldn't fit *any* lowering springs to old stock suspension.
Even the youngest stock suspension is now 16-17 years old. Any lowering spring will likely kill them off anyway.
Do it once, do it right - buy new struts, top mounts etc as well.

This is mine on 17x8 ET38 215/40/17 front, 17x9 ET38 245/40/17 rear, on Apex -30mm springs:
In addition, I'm on Ohlins struts. Sits just right in my opinion. No rubbing problems whatsoever, including lock to lock.
