tuner nuts

Post by VGB »

Hello,

I've got some new wheels, Advan sa3r. I'm looking at what nuts to get. What are recommended, spline or hollow? I'm slightly anti hollow as had some in bk299s and one wheel got stuck on. For love not money couldn't get it off so currently have said wheel in my garage complete with attached hub. I have also however heard of spline nuts rounding off. Not sure if that's cheap aluminium ones or not?
Any advice and views appreciated.

I bought these 3 years ago to go with my Wolfrace Alloys (Multistud), been using them all that time, comes with a nifty fitting tool attachment, fits a 19mm socket, never had any issues with rounding off the attachment, or the studs for that matter. Not even suffering paint flake etc.

These are slimline ones and are quite short too compared to the original ones that came with Alloys, must be about 16mm shorter.
Hope this helps. (Not sure if these will fit your wheels mind.)

If you are looking to use the centre caps you need to pay attention to the height of the nuts.
Depending on the size and offset of the wheel you may need to run 10mm spacers and as such will need longer studs in your hubs though some people run with standard studs and 10mm spacers.

I've not got the centre caps so that's one less thing to worry about I guess. :thumleft:

I prefer the closed nuts. Do like the purple ones, would work against the black sa3rs.

I use these with my SA3R's.

I use the centre plates though so needed something short to allow them to sit flush.
