Anyone fitted one of these?

Post by gmac90 »

Ive been looking to replace my rev 1 3 piece spoiler and I like the look of rev5 spoiler but not overly keen on price of them. Seen this on ebay http://www.ebay.co.uk/ulk/itm/191776090229 wondering if any has one fitted? Or knows how they are to fit?

I'd hold out for a genuine Rev 5. Chances are, that will require modding to fit. The spoiler posts will crack over time from shutting the boot, and the blade will be all wavy.

Stick to oem if going Rev 5.

No prob buddy. Short answer is, quality costs.

In addition, Rev 5 spoilers are now discontinued by Toyota.

or do what ive done and keep oem legs and end caps and buy a replacement blade as every genuine rev5 blade ive had has cracked in same place every time from the stupid un removable 3rd bolts in the thing

ive got a carbon blade now which will be painted to match soon

Much easier on a rev 1/2. No need to mess about filling holes and repainting the rear wings.

Best looking spoiler for a rev 1/2 imo.
