Engine coolant i.d. bore size (new question) ?

I am wanting to extend the height of the engine coolant filler cap, anybody have one lying about that they are able to measure the internal diameter of the pipe so I can buy some pipe and a something to connect the two together...

my coolant neck to filler cap hose has a temp sensor adapter in it (I know, stupid place to put it, but it was there when I bought the car and I've not got round to moving it yet)

anyway, it's got 28mm stamped into it, so it's a safe bet the hose you need is 28mm ID

Ok, I need to purchase a water temp sensor adapter to fit in the hose line. I will be using the hose that goes from the standard temp sensor part going towards the firewall above the gearbox area.
Is this pipe also 28mm internal diameter ?

Anybody have an engine out or similar and have easy access to confirm the bore size, thanks
