Rev 3 turbo - 4 Wire 02 sensor test

Post by parker455 »

Hi guys,

Anyone know how to test the 4 wire 02 sensor on a rev3 turbo? I'm getting consistently rich running conditions, sometimes hitting 11.5 ish on idle (AEM Wideband in my downpipe).

When travelling it rarely hits the 14's, sometimes sitting at around 13.4 on a cruise. Car's been running for 30 minutes by this point.

Cheers in advance! :thumleft:

The process is no different to testing any other regular o2 sensor - the 4 wire simply means the o2 sensor is heated. So, get it up to temperature, and look for an oscillating voltage on the signal wire.

It's a US site (don't think UK/JP cars have an emissions light?) but the theory is the same.

Thought as much. I'll give it a test next weekend cheers Gaz. I tested a single wire one before with a blowtorch, was easy just didn't know what one would be the signal wire in this case!
