I'm really pleased to say a year on (yes I know slow progress but it's allowed, I'm learning 😁) it's had a whole new cooling system including pipes, radiator, fans, hoses etc.

A lot of the under parts have been replaced, the obvious boots, ball joints, drop links, brake lines, brake discs, pads.

Removed the fluff out of the sills, cut out all dead parts, welded those, welded rails, arches, removed and cured all surface rust, dynaxed.

Managed to bring the plasma dials back to life.

Located all the missing parts of interior plastics

Fixed all the chips in the windscreen

New exhaust system including one of those annoying japspeed twin cans just because I like loud and my FTO is loud but it isn't doing enough for me.

Front bumper is currently in our operating theatre being taken back and repaired properly.

Found it a nice spoiler, a veilside rear bumper, wide arches, wind deflectors scoop, sideskirts tyres, wheels and tidied up the interior which is no longer tired looking.

Refurbished all the calipers using the guides here and bled system.

New spark plugs, dizzy cap, rotor arm, HT leads

Last jobs to do now are to stop the fans constantly running, this has been a problem since the start and I can't seem to find the plug Im looking for. then try rewiring the rear lights, find out why the fronts have stopped working, smooth down the paint surface to prepare for us to vinyl wrap it.

We've loved doing this project so much, we got another lost soul of an mr2 and a smashed up supra to start when this one is finished :)

I'll post some pictures soon for you all to laugh at, I think 99% will find it distasteful but we've made plenty of weird stuff including f&f replicas so this one is fairly tame. The point is, it lives on, it probably wishes it had died 😂

Well it's different. Aside from the rear light fitment it looks ok.
I'm sure there will be someone who finds this the perfect mix of styles.

Good effort for having a go and bringing one more back from the grave.

Is it going to be re-registered and back on the road at some point?

Yes I'll be keeping it to show alongside all my other cars, trying to give the FTOs a rest 😂 I've got bodywork still to do aside from the electrics and the rad fan issue,to ensure the valance is fitted properly, but thought I'd best do the welding and mechanical first. The valance is just balanced for now so I can get back under for the wiring and after that I'll work on making the lights fit better. I'm certain 99% of people are not fans of the supra lights and I may change them in the future. After this work it will receive its mot tax and insurance and be back on the road.

CalMac i haven't started on the body cosmetics yet, I did rattle can a bit of the back to see how the colour looked before I ordered my vinyl to do it all properly that's all. All the surfaces will be taken back once I'm done with the mechanics

Hope so, I've enough crazy coloured cars here this one needs to be a bit less glaring. Still haven't quite accepted the supra lights though. They look better on my supra imo. But it will take a lot of cutting and reshaping to put stock lights back in 😔 it's definitely a future plan though.
