Mk1 website car adverts

Post by stevenb »

Hi,
I have placed an advert on the mk1 club website. I sent the details to Richard as per instructions.
However there is a slight problem. :(

On my home PC I go to look at the advert and it is not there  ......neither can my friends see the advert on their PC's. Yet at work on my work PC I can go onto the website and view the advert clearly. :-k
Anyone know why this is happening? :-s

Cheers

Steve

I've seen your add on the MK1 Club site. is it possable that your home PC is a bit slow and the page you are looking at is from your cache of viewed pages ,try going into intenet options and delete all offline content then you should see the latest page not your computers saved one

I believe the website is updated when their is enough adverts to put on in one go..........
The advert is there alright as per above and richard kindly updated it on the 26th Sept. 2005....I can't explain it.

Laurens post is refering to NTL (nthell) not being very good, are you with them? if so this could be your problem. the MK1 web site was updated on the 26th and your add is there but if you cant see it it's down to your ISP.................................................................................................. 86 Sherwood Toning (Green over Gold metallic). I'm the 2nd owner since new and I bought this car in April 2005. My only reason for selling is that I'm saving to buy a Toyota Supra. The car is in excellent condition and was runner up in it's class at JAE 2005 (MR2 MK1 club). I'm a member of the MR2 MK1 club and the IMOC (International MR2 owners club). Bodywork is rust free. The arches are sound. There is one small blemish on the drivers rear arch where the previous owner had it painted. New nearside front wing and it has been very well painted. The front bumper insert was bought in July and fitted (old one was dented and rusted) and a new bumper skin has been fitted too. Full service history. Some of the MOT certs. are missing but I have a few. However the service booklet will verify the cars genuine mileage. The car has done just 73,500. It has been serviced with new oil (Castrol GTX Magnatec 10w 40) and filter (Toyota oil filter) twice since I have had the car. I have fitted new front brake pads too. I changed the coolant in June as well. The cambelt was changed at 48k The tracking and alignment has been done recently. The car has 4 good tyres. The exhaust system gaskets have been replaced. The car has uprated poly bushes all round which was needed as the old bushes were worn. These were fitted in August. I have receipts to prove everything on this car. The car looks and drives superb. It is a daily runner and it has been garaged all it's life from new and since I have owned it too. This is a rare colour and it turns the heads of both young and old. The car will have a 12 Month MOT cert. and 6 months tax. This car is totally genuine. It even has the original number plates and the original tax disc holder. No test drive pilots or timewasters. I would prefer to sell this car to a club member but the right person is more important. The price is £2250 ovno. Steve 01582 609043 or [email protected] (250905)

You could try pressing "control F5" which should get the page from the source rather than any caches along the way.
