Well slightly confused only really.
Been doing a bit of reading searching and from what i can grasp so far callipers differ on turbos from gen1/2 and 3 onwards re bigger disks.
What i cant find info on so far is, what is the stamped part number that identifies which calliper is which?
Seen some on eblag but seller is unsure what rev the callipers are off, they are twin pot but dont want to buy them and then find they are gen 3 ones and wont fit without changing disks.
Other thing I would like to know is, are N/A front callipers single or also twin pots and interchangeable with a turbo, I am guessing NOT and poss single but I dont know for def.
Main thing i want to know is if there is something stamped on callipers to help you identify them if your cruising Eblag for bargains.

Look for the following stamped on the caliper body.
Front:
36T25 = 91/92 Turbo's
36T30 = 93+ Turbo's
Rear:
16V- = 91/92 Turbo's and all years N/A
22V- = 93+ Turbo's
Front:

22V- = 93+ Turbo's

All UK and JDM Rev2 onwards cars have 22V rear calipers. Perhaps it's different in mainland Europe?
Re: Confused .com re brakes
Rev2 is post 92/93 or not...

Your post states that all NA's have 16V rears - that's not true for UK and JDM models. There is no difference between turbo and NA, only between Rev1 and Rev2+.

Re: Confused .com re brakes
ta 4 the info chaps
The stamped info is main thing i wanted.
Maybe now i can identify what on mine could be the larger rotor I mean disk jobby already.
suppose another easy way to tell is to measure the disk.
