The Impman - Croydon (AGAIN!)

Flipping eck mate!

Saw the back end twitching when you were coming off the roundabout!

Your passenger was like .

since I put new rear tyres on it's been quite hard to get it twitching. Tried on the roundabout outside my work but she just kept pulling into the corner.

It wasn't about to let go even when you saw it twitch a bit. I'd never try that in your car though, the power difference would be dangerous.

How hard were you accelerating over the bridge? It looked like you were putting your foot down as you kicked out a bit of smoke from the exhaust, but I was suprised you were not leaving me for dead like Tallbloke does in his rev 3 turbo. I know he has more horses but still.

I also had a passenger, but then again, maybe you weren't pushing it like I was

I don't always drive like that.

Oh, and both my passenger and myself agree you have very nice rims :D

Foot was down, but I think it might be running rich as I've only upped the boost with a grainger valve and no ecu upgrades. Plus I've noticed a flat spot so will need to get my a*se in to gear and check timing is ok.. :( Think I'll be doing it tomorrow lunch time.. :eye:

Cheers for the comments about the rims - wasn't sure about them at first but I've really grown to like them..

How much HP is Tallbloke pushing?

Think the rev 3's kick out about 245bhp. I'm sure that's what he had on the rollers. We discovered on the way to Bluewater meet once that I had better 0-20mph but then he just launches off and disappears into the distance until he reaches 70mph *cough* and sticks at a steady sensible pace O:)

I forget what reg yours is but it must be a rev 2 at a guess so I think it has a little less power than the rev 3.

Rev 1

Post by Cliff »

Mines a Rev 1 matey, so 220BHP for me and 245PS/240BHP (I think that's right) for Tallbloke..

Is his standard or modified?

His is reletively standard in the engine compartment. I think he's finaly got round to fitting a custon down pipe, and it's got some 3" exhaust and an HKS dump valve.
