[Mk2] [Turbo] BC coilovers & standard wheels

Hi all,

I'm a bit of a lurker rather than a poster but was hoping someone could help.

I have a 95 Rev 3 Turbo which has been off the road for a year. I started to fit coilovers, calipers etc at the start of this year but work and other commitments got in the way. I'm looking to finish it this winter so went out this morning to see what needed finished.

I got the coilovers installed and wound down pretty low. They didn't seem to drop much at the front so it's basically as much as it can go. The wheel is now rubbing on the coilover. I adjusted the camber by the topmount but it's not enough to give me the right clearance.

Anyone else running standard wheels with these coilovers? If so, how low can you go? Until I get my housemates car out of the garage I don't have room tow rom at mine, so I'd would be nice to know if I need to order spacers or source new wheels. I presume of I go down the wheel option, I need lower offset?

adjusting the camber off the top mount won't achieve anything re: wheel clearance, you'll need camber bolts to move the hub/wheel away from the coilover too.

it's likely that a simple spacer will solve your problem.

I run BC's on track with standard wheels.

Get the suspension / alignment set up by somebody who knows what they're doing! Leave it to the pro's dude.

Also get it corner weighted as it makes a huge difference and thats the main reason you should run coilovers!

As long as the offsets / widths are even close to being suitable for an MR2, you don't even need camber bolts. The top hub bolt hole is slotted on the BC's, so you can simply loosen the hub bolts giving a couple degrees adjustment. Just loosen, pull the hub to maximum positive (top of the hub out), and then dial in the desired camber amount at the top mount.
