You need to just have enough goes at it really and keep adjusting until it's right. I think 4k is too low though personally, you said you had it set to 4.5k didn't you? Try it at 4.2k (which is what mine is at) and see what happens. There is a fine line between wheelspin and bogging down, a little wheelspin is preferable if you can't get it spot on.

I went, was the rev2 black turbo with the fujitsubo exhaust and the Type "A" Rear Spoiler from RMG Developments (dont think it is but thats what it looks like). i parked outside the IMOC stand but didnt realy have chance to say hi to anyone. was keeping my girlfriend happy but after seeing the volvo estate go down the strip a second time she got bored and wanted to go home. seen as its a 100 mile trip suppose it was a good choice.
I will have to say hi to you people at JAPshow in a few weeks :)
I spotted a white MK2 on the way out of pod at about 12:00 and 2 black mk2s following eachother also, I flashed and got a wave back :D

Your launch control is obviously setup loads better than mine and you have taller profile tyres which would give more grip wouldn't they????...

Bigger profile tyres do help yes. The launch control has nothing to do with me not spinning in second though as it didn't before i set it up.

Thats weird.... :-k

Mines has always span in 1st and 2nd even with stock wheels on ????

Ahhhh..... but havent you got an uprated plate type differential in your gear box... surely this stops loads of wheelspin no .............?

can you alter the rpm rising rate on your launch control......?

The diff just stops one wheel spinning more that the other thats all.

Yes i can alter the rate but haven't until today, hadn't even though about doing it, need to do some testing somewhere now.

No wheel spin at all very smooth but fast launch beat both the 4.2l stripped out Jag and the brand new BMW M5 to the 1/8 mile.
