It's Andy's van so he probably has a better idea of it's times but it's not slow - it would have beaten a fair few of the crappy efforts that were running on Sunday :)

It's stripped out from the factory, alloys, skirts, splitter.... in Max Power terms that's an extra 100bhp =;

And we had 41 cars attending, that's brilliant! :D

What's not so brilliant is I have posted my time in the 1/4 mile table and I am 48th out of 50! :(

Hello Everyone

I went to Pod on Sunday and parked in the car park at the start of the strip. It was a blue rev3 turbo.

I don't know anyone on hear so was too nervous to approach anyone on the MR2 stand. Just want to add there were some good looking 2's there. Mark Edwards your car is awesome. I'd seen it on here a few times and looked forward to seeing you go up the strip.

Did anyone spot me? Didn't turn up till 1.30p.m on Sunday.

Thanks mate but TBH i was expecting to be quicker too, don't think the head wind was helping at all.

Tell me about it !!!!!

I was slower than 1 year ago, at least 60hp up, and 40-50 kilos lighter !!!

I thought I was gonna get low 12's not mid 13's !!!!! :(

I think i'm gonna have to get my launch control etc setup alot better to be competetive (2.1 seconds 60ft time WTF!!!!) obvoiusly far to much wheelspin !!! (1st and 2nd) Thinking about it I dont think 35 series tires on the back help with the grip situation...... #-o #-o

Is their anybody with advice on getting away faster (technique etc etc!!!!) ](*,) ](*,)

2.1 isn't good at all really, i was very dissapointed with my 1.9. I can usually do 1.8's and that's without the launch control, but i needed more runs to set it up properly.

You're right, 35 series tyres wouldn't of helped at all, i'm going to look for a pair of 15's and some decent track tyres i think.

Could well be yes, but it's the gearchanges that are important too.

The way i launch is, find the right revs and sidestep the clutch. It's brutal but i find it works for me. :wink:

I think i'm gonna bring my launch RPM down to 4000rpm and alter the rpm rising rate more to get rid of the excess wheelspin........ what do you think ????
