Coilovers

Post by mr299ron »

Fitting coilovers over the next week.

Anything I need to replace at the same time? E.g new drop links?

Assuming everything is original / old - get a full bush kit (rubber or poly), new track rod ends, new rack ends and gaitors, new ball joints. If they are all original / unknown, then they are probably at the end of their useful life. the extra stress of coilovers will finish them off.

you'll find out what you need to replace by the time you've finished . the droplinks and balljoints may be good but by the time you'got them off they might not be

So looking at the below diagram of the car's bushes, what would you advise I change:

My front balljoints definitely need replacing as I can hear them when driving. Drop links also seem like a good part to replace.

But what about bushes? What are the bushes I'm removing when installing coilovers?

Thanks for the help
