Rev1 Turbo Wet Piston?

Post by IMR2T »

Feel like I'm on here with nothing but faults and problems ](*,)

Just got my timing done this morning, car was running great, went out a hard drive to set my EBC to 10psi and on a quick launch the car lurched(like releasing the clutch too quickly) in 3rd cut out, then came back, cut out then came them ran smoothly for 10mins till it died.

At the time it wouldn't start or runs for 3secs and dies.

Got it home and realised the oil level was low and that the cam belt was loose.

Cambelts timed and solid now, the engine runs for 20-30secs now instead of 3 before it dies but on closer inspection piston 1 is wet and I'm not sure whether it's oil or fuel.

Cylinder 1 also won't hold compression and falls smoothly down from 100ish to 0psi.

Does that sound like rings or a valve?

Sounds like you may have a broken ring land :-(

Edit: Although if your timing belt was loose you may have bent a valve (assuming your engine is not bone stock and may now be interference)

I had the head skimmed 1/4 of 1mm, so I dont think the valves been hit.

Will nd to try a wet compression test.
