Fibreglass lid, with metal rain tray.

Not sure about additional supports though, so that's maybe where the additional weight is....

makes you wonder how on earth someone "weighed" the NA lid at 2.7kg!

soon as the latch/bolts are on the na lid probably brings it close to 7kg?

I reckon you're looking at 1KG difference saved by fitting an NA lid. Worth it?

100% (not)

hassle of finding a mint one, and/or even having to have it sprayed in the colour you want, totally worth the 1kg saving :eye:

so tubby lid without the tray is lighter then.
but ive in turn added 2 fat fans. :eye:

Yep no probs always good to have facts, no idea where 2.7kg came from!
Yeah I reckon na lid getting on for 7kg with sensor, bolts and latch so not much in it at all.
If you were building light weight track mr2 I think the na could be better as it has a second skin that could be chopped away may come in really light....

Trying to save a few kg here are there on a car reminds me a some cyclists I know who proudly tell me they have saved 100g by spending xxxx loads of money on lighter parts, then they stick an KG of water on the bike...!!

The turbo lid looks better IMO so worth the extra weight.
