MR2 10thanniversary edition 138

Post by DickyA »

I've just picked up from my mother-in-law a blue mr2 which has been garaged all its life and looks in great condition with all the original 10th anniversary extras including the key fob! She bought it in 2002 and it has now done 20,000miles.

I'm wondering whether to sell it or just keep it garaged for a few more years. it seems very difficult to get a true valuation, any ideas please. I've driven it a few times and it seems great fun so maybe I should keep it for occasional sunday drives in the sun!

its got a full service history and looks completely unmarked except for a little corrosion on the wheel hubs.

All depends on how much corrosion there is on the chassis. Check the wheel arches and the rear of the sills. Remove the trim that covers the seatbelt, and pull out the bit of foam thats down there. It traps water and rusts the sill from the inside.

Sorry its taken time to reply but the car is now garaged at my mum's. I checked both the sills and wheel arches, they are all without rust.
