Navsure - stuck on loading

Post by Bumble-bee »

Hi guys!

I bought this headunit off one of the guys on here a few months ago and i put it in the car it worked perfectly! The navigation worked! I took it out the car to solve my aerial trouble and then realised I didn't need to take it out it was just the wiring I sorted that and now the headunit works until I try and go on the navigation menu and it just gets stuck on loading?

Has anyone experienced this? And how do I fix it? Everything else works fine and I can go on navi without a sd card and it just says it can't find it but I put it in and just stays on loading, im assuming it's the sd card? So I changed it over put all the files on a pc formatted the new ad card and then copied the files over plugged it in and it didn't even recognise a sd card was in there!

Im confused any help to fix this will be much appreciated! I don't understand because it worked and now it doesn't and it's just that part :(

Thanks

Anthony

Have you reset the head unit, as that's the first thing to try

Hi there, yeah I have used a pin and pushed the reset button, then I pushed it again and held for 10 seconds and didn't work and also I have left it unplug from the car for 30 seconds and still no luck :(

In my experience with these the only thing that used to break were the SD cards, maybe try and get another one from navsure? Think you can get them via Halfords.

Is there no way of restoring the one I have? Because the sd card can be quite expensive and it worked perfectly fine before and I don't know if it's something I've done or not :/

I would have thought so but never tried so not sure.

Try this website: http://www.navitotal.com/
And maybe this one: https://www.naviextras.com/shop/portal/ ... rt#Navsure

It sounds like an issue with the SD card only because a friend of mine had the same issue. Replaced the card and it worked fine :thumleft:

Yeah or alternatively put it all back on and try and find some way of updating to the most recent firmware / maps.

Is there any way of copying someone else's maps? Im guessing it has to be navsure specific but say you downloaded someone else's they sent you and put it on there, could that work?

I don't see why that wouldn't work, I am not an expert so can't say for sure.

I know if you for example tried a mates navsure sd card in your unit it should work so if you can find one to clone it is the cheapest and easiest way forward :thumleft:

I am sure there must be a way to download the information from their website as an update or something?

But it has to specifically be a navsure sd card? Because the other sd card I tried didn't work :(

Make sure you format it the same
Try formatting it as fat 32, or maybe fat 16. Have a google to see what the original was.

Sounds like its missing those files.

Never used one before but there is bound to be a full dump of a card somewhere. Maybe your old card was failing and those files were lost when transferred?
Sounds like your getting closer though
