(and perhaps its gtx equivalent) is probably the only gt28 sized turbo that is going to be worth considering over the ct20b.

At safe pump fuel boost levels for that turbo size

(eg.

17 to 18psi) you would gain a minor increase in power and perhaps a few hundred rpm improvement in spool over your current turbo.

It's what I'd consider a

'no compromise' turbo in that it offers you the best of what a small turbo can offer.

.but as to whether the performance upgrade over the ct20b is worth the

££££ it will cost is down to the individual.

As for gt turbo reliability

- I think that's certainly up for debate.

I personally had a gt2860rs and a gt3071r fail in relatively short periods of time.

Both

times the reasons were suspected incorrect oil restrictor sizes.

I think you'd be doing extremely well to get anywhere near 90k out of one of these turbos
