Have you seen a spark at the plugs? Are you using new copper plugs?

Fuel pump is running when cranking? 12V+VE at injectors?

ECU error codes?

Evening Peter, yip there's a spark at each plug.

Brand spanking new NGK copper BKR6e's

Fuel pumps bang on when cranking, plugs get wet.

Auto electrician got an injector pulse on cylinder 1

Just spent 20mins doing the paper clip trick connecting terminals e1 and te1 to see my codes. My check engine light doesn't come on at all?? Used thicker gauge wire wiggled both the paper clip and thicker wire, made sure they were push in as far as they go and nothing...

If no CEL when ignition on or when bridging TE1 and E1 your problem is likely ECU related.

Get a voltmeter and check for 12+VE and earth to ECU.

Mate, I still mix up 3/8 and 1/4 inch rachet bits, lol, Id have no idea what I'm looking for regarding capacitors. What would I see/hear?

If you search the forum you'll find some threads on dead/repaired ECUs.

Ok, I can find my live but -2deg outside and the sheer no of wires going into the ECU is a bit daunting, so I'll be there forever.

If anyone can pin point the exact wires I should be testing I'll head back out.

My CEL light def doesn't come on, my bulb could be blown but I do have a spare ECU, plugged it in and still no light.

once in your looking for stuff like below on the board,

Sorted ok. Would a Rev2 have the same plugs as my Rev1?

Is the CEL bulb one of the main 501's?

Last owner had chavy blue bulbs which were so dark compared to standard white 501's, so I replaced the lot.

No. Smaller, same as other dash indicator bulbs. Just change for a known good one like oil or alternator.

Ok.... surely further electrical diagnostics is now pointless given the engine has poor compression? Even if it runs it clearly has a much bigger issue.
