Mr2 Turbo Intercooler hoses

Post by mBaggins »

Hello guys, im new to the MR2 scene.
I need some help, can anybody link me to where i can buy new hoses. I need the hose that goes from the turbo the the hot pipe, from hotpipe to intercooler inlet, hose from intercooler outlet to the throttle body intake pipe, from throttle body intake pipe to the throttle body. Also need the pipe from the BOV to the hot pipe. Please can somebody link me or tell me each pipe size. I would measure my pipes but the previous owner had put some rubbish universal hoses that dont even fit properly.

Also dont suppose anyone is selling the metal bracket that holds the hotpipe to the engine?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You didn't say what revision you have.

Rev3-5 kit here:

Or get good s/h OEM ones. Post up in Items Wanted.

I will probably be able to sell all the pipes for you, I'll need to check they're all ok. I just took a rev 2 turbo engine out my car and put in a rev 3 engine with a CC kit, so goodbye to the intercooler and I would have no need for them as spares either.

However, how fast do you need them?

Aah, thanks Jaaash.
Dotty that would be great, how much would you be looking for them? I need them probably within a week. Also if you were to sell them to me could you include the small hose that goes from the waste-gate actuator towards the rear of the car, as mine is split!

Many thanks,
Mike

I don't think Stoney list "turbo" hoses for a rev 2, only for the rev3+?

I went to SFS for hoses for my rev2, but I'm not sure if they offer the hose on the air intake side of the turbo.

Last time I was at SFS, I was told they could make up a set of hoses for my old Rev 2. It's worth giving them a call to find out, though I can't remember how much they wanted.

Ooft, price? £30 + postage? I'm at the garage this weekend tidying up so I'll look the pipes out from the box of bits and whip the TB hose etc. off the engine.
By the hose from wastegate to rear of car, do you mean the hose from wastegate to the metal pipe with a bracket attached to the engine hanger, then the other side of the pipe a hose going to the inlet manifold?

Drop me a PM with your address, it's up to you how I send it, RM recorded or by courier etc. or you're welcome to pick them up if you are anywhere near Edinburgh

Thank you all for your replies. Does anybody have a contact number for stoney racing as I can only see their email on the site. I've sent them an email but would prefer speaking to somebody. May also give SFS a call.

Dotty, I shall let you know ASAP. Also I believe the vacuum hose you described is correct. Thanks to all and I'll be purchasing premium membership when I get paid :)

No problem mate. Just let me know, I'll be sticking up lots of bits in the for sale section trying to clear out spare parts I won't need over the next few months as I strip bits down so I'm in no huge rush.

Mind blown that Stoney racing don't have a contact number anywhere on their site! There doesn't appear to be one anywhere online either!

Also, i want to put the standard hotpipe back on as the previous owner had some absolutely terrible chrome plumbing in. However i need the 'fixing plate'? that hots the hotpipe to the top of the engine. Does anybody know where you can buy these new, or can sell me one ASAP please?

Right instead of me making a new Topic. I need a silicone hose for the Idle air controller intake pipe. (the black hose that goes from intake manifold back to the intake pipe before the turbo. Does anybody know what size this hose is, both in length and diameter?

Also i need a Cold start injector timer switch as mine is just wobbling about.

Please could anybody help me as to where i can source these parts?
Is there anywhere on the forums where it has most of the common hose sizes?

Thank you
Mike
