the VIN number stuff is quite strange.

When I was buying my car (L plate) It was advertised as a rev2 turbo, I queried this with the seller as it has rev 3 engine, rev 3 rear lights, rev 3 rear spoiler etc and all looked far to original to be a rev 2.

I checked the VIN numbers on a website that explains when revisions were started and ended and mines is before rev 3's first VIN number even though it seems to be a rev 3 car.

I got it for Rev 2 money though

Guys, apologies about the delays, I made videos and pics for this post but photobucket apps frozen and not uploading any recent content.

Judging by my chassis code, brakes and rear subframe, I've got a Rev 1.

Taking it into a tuning specialist this Sat as there's a rattle coming from the middle of the rear of the rocker cover.

With VIN plate details I can find the factory build date directly from the EPC.
