MOT Advisory??

Post by robbie_742003 »

Just had it pass with no problems yay! :D

In the advisory info however, it says 'This vehicle has Type Approved seat belt installations'

Anybody know what this means? :-k

Cheers

Nope, just the same bog standard belts I've had in my couple of 2's.

Some JDM belts won't lock up when pulled sharply, so can't be tested in the normal way.

If when tested, they won't lock up, the tester will check the belts for the appropriate manufacturer's tags.

If they are present he will enter the fact on the VOSA test screen.

This notes that the belts can't be, and therefore have not been tested for locking up under severe deceleration, but appear to have the correct identification marks and are therefore likely to work correctly in an accident..
