mr2 rev 3 build
hi i am looking for advice i am currently building a 94 rev 3 turbo
keeping standard internals and looking to push 350hp the engine is in perfect condition i am purchasing all components to get it there but would like a second opinion on this bhp with the internals will it be ok to run or am i taking too much of a risk thanks

Re: mr2 rev 3 build
I'd say its doo-able on std internals, I know a few people have managed that amount with a TD06 and supporting mods.

I'd just be aware that the chances of something breaking is going to be much higher.

I'm running 300whp
(approx 350fwhp) on standard internals with a gt3071

Plan to go forged eventually tho to get the best out of my setup

I'd go forged pistons if i was you.
Just a matter of time until a ringland goes.

Mine lasted at 360bhp for 18 months and 10 tracks days then a ringland went on a nurburgring trip

Re: mr2 rev 3 build
thanks for the feed back i was getting a bit worried seeing all these forged builds with that horsepower and wasnt sure if it would last especially on the dyno its a 1994 rev 3 gt turbo thanks for restoring my confidence in the build much appreciated

I think what the guys are saying is you're in the area where you

Re: mr2 rev 3 build
yeah i understand that but if it will last long enough for time bein eg a year or more its enough time to get the cash for engine internals cams pistons rods etc and run much bigger bhp down the line

Re: mr2 rev 3 build
you can but if a ringland lets go you risk ruining the block to
If you see an MR2 with a raised engine cover, the bottom line is it's probably faster than your car.

Re: mr2 rev 3 build
yeah i understand that ill be forging it as soon as this is just temporary
