Although i do like the engine bay.

Could some one tell me re the matt paint one.

If you already have a bespoke vented bonnet, why would you need the other two tiny vents in front of them?
:?

And another thing, whats gone on with the front end of this?

I mean fair play in one respect.

Someone has spent a lot of time and money and effort on it/these but.

It's all a matter of taste and all.

BTW re the interior, I liked the brown paper the best.

Have you seen the title of that magazine article!!!! ](*,)

A bloody hairdressers car to many!!!! where is the spitting my tea emoticon when you need one.

Bloody cheek.

"Superchip?" - That looks like a fcd or possibly a converter wired at the ecu end.

"300bhp?" - Is that a air flow meter i can see in the engine bay?

Those wheels are yuck and the interior is even worse.

The front bumper on the white one is possibly a "Sard" copy?

I understood the catchphrase :)

Aerocatches are used when conventional methods of securing your bonnet down won't work - i.e. when you have a carbon bonnet with no 'hook' to clip on to, and also as a secondary security measure. If you imagine having the metal hook that your bonnet currently has, bonded to a bit of carbon - I certainly wouldn't trust my life to that (I've been in a car with the bonnet coming open whilst driving before - it's terrifying.) so I'd use aerocatches to hold it down :)

A picture to explain :)

I've seen that one with the blingy wheels before somewhere.. :-k

The fitment between front bumper and border bonnet on the second car is abysmal :pale: and why the heck it's 7k I don't know, he'll be lucky to get 3k imho. Maybe it's a case of 'Yes dear I'll sell my silly Japanese car this week if you stop nagging' *lists at ridiculous price to make sure it doesn't sell*

Been around car modifications for a long time and ive come to notice that the MR2 scene as a whole is plagued by some pretty distasteful, reoccurring and downright function less mods.

I know all ill get back is blah blah beauty is in the eye of the blah blah, and sure, fair point, each to their own right, but come on, random "lets cut a few triangles here".

Must be to vent the hot air out from the engine.

The vents on the border bonnet are there specifically to allow forward moving air from the radiator to vent over the bonnet. Free moving air is a more effective cooling medium than the turbulent air that builds up behind the rad (as it hasn't anywhere to go) so this maximises the effect.

It's also claimed to add extra down force to the front.

The triangles on the first one are for lights :D purely for effect and nowt else.

For that effect to be noticable you'd need to duct it from the radiator to the bonnet. It does work though!

One of the regulars on th mgf/tf forum made his own custom vented bonnet, and then had it replicated by a company in carbon fibre.

The idea was to allow air flow through the front rad and as described else where to allow smooth transistion of air flow, with the added benefit of some improved down force.
I'll post a link, but to do it properly like he did, you need to modify the frunk at the slam panel area to allow the air passing through the front grill and rad to pass up through the new bonnet vents.

I didnt go the vented bonnet route, but i did improve my cooling of the rad and also improved front end down force by making an air dam under and around the rad from the front grill.

For the record i think 7k for a rev3 is bonkers, could only be justifiable if its like Mateys on here that is a 1/4 mile run winner with 451hp.
