New Tbar Seals - Is special sealant required?

Post by Rev3-MR2-Turbo »

I'm fitting new bar seals for the body, the bars and also new door seals.

I know the new seals come pre-applied with some sealent in certain places but do i need to buy my own sealent too?

I want to get the best result possible so if you can recommend a sealant please do let me know.

Cheers, all the new rubbers arrived today,

- Tbar seals
- Doors/Window Outer Seals/Weather strips
- Door seals

Would it be a good idea to take them out the plastic bags and give them a good polish with silicone spray or anything else that you would recommend?

I want everything to be perfect.

When i remove all the old rubbers/ weatherstrips whats the best stuff to clean all the old gunk with and again once cleaned should i spray silicone spray all along the channels before fitting?

i'm thinking it will be a good idea and couldn't hurt.
