Testing my suspension and a Type-r could not keep up!!!

Post by Azz »

My suspension feels very unhappy so i took it for a test run round Olkham hill. so i had a black new Civic Type-R behind me which i never spotted as i took off to give mine some stick, then i got to the end of the road i pulled over and got out and had a look at the rear of the car. then the Type-R man pulled in behind me and shouted over (as i was looking under my car for some "look at me pretend i know what i am doing type of thing") so i turned round ask asked him what he said.
"what the hell have you done to get that car to go that fast?"
i said what do you mean
"i just give this everything its got and i could not keep up with you"
i replied with "what you were racing me"
"yes"
I replyed with "why i was just testing some thing i could have gone faster"
He seamed stumped and he said "they only have 158BHP!" i told him it was a turbo and i got the all to common saying "there is no such car as a MR2 turbo", so i showed him the engine and other bits and he seemed impressed.

So i have found out a Civic Type-R is no match for a Rev1 tubby with dicky suspension.

Haha great! I dont know why so many people assume that all MR2s are the 158bhp model!

I havent come across a Type R yet but if I do Ill know what to do

Haha that reminds me....a mate at work today was bragging about his 'ex police car' 1.6 astra lol. He said Id have no chance keeping up as this thing just 'shoots off'!

I just had to laugh

Don't take it personally, he wasn't attacking you, more of a joke based on previous things.
