There is a road right by there called dead mans lane where people ( a very long time ago) used to be hung. So i have been told.

Same sort of food I think. Possibly now the same chain as the Dick Turpin but looked a bit more up market. Previously called 'Seabrights'.

Indeed... Living in North Essex and working in Dagenham really doesn't help!
